What Size Tablecloth Do I Need?

First of all, you need to measure the size of your table top. Then choose the amount of drop you would like to have.

How to Size a Tablecloth

After you have decided how much of a drop you need, determining your tablecloth size is as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Measure the dimensions (length x width / or diameter) of your tabletop.

2. Multiply the drop by 2 and add the result to the dimensions of your tabletop.

3. Order the closest standard size, or place a custom order.

Round Tablecloth Sizes

Measure the diameter and height of the table.

• The standard banquet table is 30" high.
• For a drop that hangs halfway to the floor, you would add 30" to the measurement of the table top.
• For a drop that hangs all the way to the floor, you would add 60" to the measurement of the table top.

FORMULA:
Diameter of Table + Desired Drop (times 2) = Size of Tablecloth

Standard Sizes:	Size needed to hang approximately HALF WAY to the floor:	Size needed to hang ALL THE WAY to the floor:
36" Round Table (seats 4)	72" round cloth	90" round cloth (72" overlay, if desired)
48" Round Table (seats 4-6)	72" round cloth	108" round cloth (72" overlay, if desired)
60" Round Table (seats 6-8)	90" round cloth	120" round cloth (84" overlay, if desired)
72" Round Table (seats 8-10)	102" round cloth	132" round cloth (90" overlay, if desired)

Square and Rectangle Table Cloth Sizes

Measure the length, width, and height of your table.

FORMULA:
Length of Table + Desired Drop (times 2) = Length of Tablecloth
Width of Table + Desired Drop (times 2) = Width of Tablecloth

Standard Sizes:	Size needed to hang approximately HALF WAY to the floor:	Size needed to hang ALL THE WAY to the floor:
6' Rectangular Table (seats 6-8)	60" x 120" cloth	90" x 132" cloth
8' Rectangular Table (seats 8-10)	60" x 120" cloth	90" x 156" cloth
36" Square Table (seats 4)	72" square cloth	90" square cloth
48" Square Table (seats 4-6)	72" square cloth
72" Square Table (seats 6-8)	84" square cloth

Choosing your tablecloth size can seem quite confusing, when in fact it should be very simple. The size tablecloth you need depends on what you will be using it for and your own personal preference. For a more elegant look, you may want your tablecloths to hang all the way to the floor. If you are budget conscious, it is also acceptable for the cloth to hang half way.
